The Ford Savage V6
Car 42 Gt. Britain, Ford Savage V6, P.G. Graham

The dirt road to Meshed was not too bad, but the wear on cars and crew was still taking its toll.

A British entrant, a Ford Savage V6, a Ford Cortina with a V6 Ford Zephyr motor, broke down near Kandahar with severe imbalance in the propshaft. It was nearly six hours late into Kabul.

After repairs, the Savage V6 missed controls to Bombay but made the Chusan for Perth.

It was 64th at Bombay with a loss of 5,623 points, and finished in 47th place at Warwick Farm.
